Submission Terms

By submitting a photo or related information to A24’s theater photo submission program (the “Program”), you agree to these Submission Terms. These Submission Terms supplement A24’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, these Submission Terms control for the Program. The submission period starts at 6:00am PT on June 18, 2026, and ends at 11:59pm PT on June 17, 2027 (“Submission Period”).

In these Submission Terms, “A24” means A24 Films LLC and its parents, affiliates, licensees, successors, and assigns.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Submission Terms.

What You Can Submit

You may submit only:

• an original photograph that you personally took;
• showing a movie theater exterior, marquee, or other public-facing theater view; and
• content that complies with these Submission Terms and all applicable laws.

What You Must Not Submit

Do not submit any photo or other material that:

• shows any identifiable person, including children, theater employees, or members of the public;
• shows any private or restricted interior theater spaces like screening rooms, backstage areas, projection booths, offices, or other non-public or restricted areas;
• shows any movie screen content, clips, stills, trailers, or recorded footage from inside a screening;
• focuses on any third-party poster, artwork, advertisement, logo, or brand other than incidental theater signage visible as part of an exterior theater photo;
• was taken in violation of any law, theater rule, property rule, or posted restriction;
• includes private, confidential, or sensitive information;
• is obscene, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable; or
• is generated by AI or created using content you do not own or control.

Your License to A24

By submitting a photo, caption, username, handle, location, or other material in connection with the Program (collectively, your “Submission”), you grant A24 a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to use, host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, copy, edit, crop, adapt, modify, translate, reformat, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit your Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed, for any lawful purpose.

This includes, without limitation, use on or in:

• A24’s websites, apps, and social media channels;
• editorial, publicity, and promotional materials;
• email and marketing materials;
• advertising and paid media;
• print materials;
• compilations, books, and calendars; and
• archival and historical materials.

You also grant A24 the right to use your name, social handle, city, state, and any caption or descriptive information you provide in connection with your Submission.

Credit

A24 has no obligation to credit you for any Submissions.

No Payment

You understand and agree that your Submission is voluntary. You will not receive any payment, royalty, reimbursement, or other compensation in connection with your Submission or A24’s use of it.

Your Promises

By submitting, you represent and warrant that:

• you are the sole creator of the Submission and took the photo yourself;
• the Submission is original and does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or proprietary right;
• you have all rights and permissions necessary to grant the rights in these Submission Terms;
• the Submission does not include any person who is identifiable;
• the Submission does not include any unauthorized image or recording of film content;
• the Submission was taken from a lawful vantage point and not in a restricted or prohibited area; and
• your Submission complies with these Submission Terms and applicable law.

Editing and Moderation

A24 may, in its sole discretion:

• review, reject, remove, or stop using any Submission at any time;
• edit, crop, reformat, pair, combine, or alter any Submission;
• choose whether, where, and how to use any Submission; and
• contact you for additional information.

A24 has no obligation to use any Submission.

No Confidential Relationship

Do not send anything that may be considered confidential. Your Submission is not confidential, and submitting does not create any partnership, agency, employment, fiduciary, or other special relationship between you and A24.

General Conditions

By participating, each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless A24, each of A24’s parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of each of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims and causes of action of any kind that the entrant ever had, now has or might in the future have arising out of or relating to your Submission, A24’s use of your Submission, A24’s use of your name and likeness, your participation in the Program (including without limitation any and all claims and causes of action relating to any personal injury, death or property damage or loss sustained by any entrant or any other person or based upon any allegation of violation of the right of privacy or publicity, misappropriation, defamation, or violation of any other personal or proprietary right) and agrees that the Released Parties will not have any liability in connection with any of the foregoing. Each entrant agrees not to assert any such claim or cause of action against any of the Released Parties. Each entrant assumes the risk of, and all liability for, any injury, loss or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by the Program, participation in the Program, or the use of the Website.

Released Parties are not responsible for, and will not have any liability in connection with, any lost, late, incomplete, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries, messages, posts, email, mail or other communications of any kind, or for any incorrect or inaccurate capture of, damage to, or loss of entries or entry information; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, platform, application or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications, or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions or lines, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or for any other human, mechanical or technical error of any kind relating to the Program. Released Parties are also not responsible for, and will not have any liability in connection with, any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by platform users or the Program. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to any person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in the Program or downloading materials from or use of any platform. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Program or Website, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Submission Terms, as solely determined by A24, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the Program be, in A24’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or any other cause that, in the sole opinion of the A24, is likely to corrupt or impair the administration, or security of the Program or Submissions and/or processing of entries, or if for any other reason A24 is not able to conduct the Program as planned, A24 reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Program. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM OR THE WEBSITE MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, A24 RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry in question. “Authorized account holder” means the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. An entrant may be required to provide proof (in a form acceptable to A24, including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification) that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry in question.

Disputes

By entering the Program, each entrant agrees, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, that (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Program or the provision, acceptance and/or use of the prize will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action (Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow restricting access to class actions. This provision will not apply to entrants who live in such a jurisdiction); (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Program, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and each entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Submission Terms or the respective rights and obligations of the entrants and A24 in connection with the Program shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York. Any legal proceedings arising out of the Program or relating to these Submission Terms shall be resolved solely by confidential arbitration conducted in the New York County, New York, and administered by JAMS. To the extent permitted by law, the prevailing party will not be entitled to any award of attorney’s fees or costs from the other party. In the event of any conflict between these Submission Terms and any Program information provided elsewhere (including but not limited in advertising or marketing materials), these Submission Terms shall prevail.

Use of Data

A24 will be collecting personal data about entrants in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the A24’s privacy policy at https://a24films.com/privacy-policy.
